Vineborn are semi-sentient plant creatures. Sometimes called plant zombies, they are actually plants that take over and animate corpses to interact with the Land of the Living. Little is known about the Vineborn beyond this; however, the example of Virgil Chelms shows that skilled druids attuned to nature are able to control the Vineborn in a limited manner like necromancers would with their undead minions.

First observed in the forests of Libaterra and Remon the Third Age, the Vineborn later showed up on the Northern Continent in the Fourth Age. Some were observed being controlled by Ayahuasca in Celenia 20 years after the Catastrophe.
