Tree hamsters are rodents that are native to Yamato in the Third Age. Short, furry and surprisingly heavy for their size, they are known for their smelly farts as well as explosive diarrhea which make skunks seem tame in comparison. Due to their larger size than the ordinary hamster's as well as their ferocious and protective nature, tree hamsters have often been used in fighting tournaments in Yamato similar to cockfights in Aison.
