A starspawn is a a strange eldritch being which resembles a lamprey and which can use various psychic attacks. Starspawn have entered the Land of the Living over the centuries, goading selected members of other races to form a cult around the Watcher in Darkness with the intention of freeing the Watcher's essence little by little through various Aspects until the eldritch being itself can enter the world in full and devour it. Razravkar Dominus faced the cult and foiled the revival of the Watcher in Yamato, and later on the Starspawn targeted Nyanna Mikoto in Alent but failed to capture or kill her.

The Starspawn and the Watcher in Darkness, who are eldritch beings of Darkness, are diametrically opposed to the Dwellers and the Essence in Light who are eldritch beings of Light.
