The Oracle is a title referring to a person considered to be a source of wise counsel, prophetic predictions or precognition of the future, inspired by visions which can have a divine or other origin.

Oracle of Barjassil[]
In the First Age, the Court of Barjassil had a position for an Oracle who often advised the king in a spiritual manner as a court magician and helped him decipher cryptic statements from the beyond. Unlike the later Oracles of Delphi who were women, the Oracles of Barjassil were men.
The last known Oracle of Barjassil was Malakhia d'Zarnagon, a demon disguised as a human to infiltrate King Anshar's court and manipulate the kingdom from within in an effort to get his hands on the Dragon Diamond with help from the Band of the Fox.
Oracle of Delphi[]
In the Third Age, the island of Delphi selected women every other decade to take the mantle of Oracle who is given great responsibility to see visions from the beyond and let people know about them. While the Oracles of Barjassil were men, the Oracles of Delphi were women. The lengthy tradition which dated back all the way to the First Age was seemingly broken when the Grey Cult invaded Delphi in 1016 AE and took the islanders as prisoners.
The latest known Oracle of Delphi is Faeli Aurora, a quarter-elf.
