Lutherin was once the capital of the Kingdom of Libaterra and the ancient seat of power for the House of Locken and their supporters, the Locken Loyalists. It was taken over by the Rebels during the Libaterran Civil War and then by the Yamatians in the early years of the Yamatian Invasion. Following the Reactor Core Explosion, the city was renamed Alent which became the capital of the Magicracy of Alent.

The largest city in Libaterra, Lutherin held everything that anyone could ever desire. It had underground trade routes which led directly to all towns within the kingdom so that they could have all few neccessities they couldn't provide themselves delivered forthright without them having to be carried through forests, beasts and over rivers. The city had a meeting place for every class imaginable and places for mercenaries to offer their services. At the center of this city lay the old palace, known as the House of Valour by the patriotic of Libaterra. Lutherin was the center of everything in Libaterra and held half of the kingdom's population at the time of the civil war.
