Giants are humanoid creatures of great strength and size. Said to be the guardians of mountains before the rise of dwarves, they participated in battles waged by the gods before recorded history. A handful of giants are believed to have fought in the War of the Andain in the First Age but have since faded into obscurity, becoming myths in the stories of younger races. Some legends claim that some giants might've survived to the present age but these stories tend to be campfire tales.
