Derak was the leader of a group of rogues who terrorized Remonton and the Remonian countryside for years. He worked closely with the Clergy of Mardük and was ordered to hunt down Delora d'Zarnagon and kidnap her sons. He located Delora and raped her before striking her down and leaving her behind to burn to ashes with her house, and he sold one of Delora's sons, Kareth, to slave traders who were working for the Black Widow. Delora's other son, Refan, got away thanks to a timely arrival from Sullena, however.
