History

Origins

When Caer Goddard was founded, the heads of the House of Rhinehart became the lords of the city and built a caer, a fortress, to protect the city. Since then the Rhineharts have stood by the House of Aurelac.

Distreyd Era

The city was sacked by the army of the Yamato Empire and the supporters of Martin Struan during the Great War after a siege in which King Remy Aurelac lost his life and Lord Hubert Rhinehart was injured due to treachery of Lord Martin Struan who began what became known as the Struan Rebellion. Caer Goddard retained a strong pro-Aurelac sentiment among its citizens, which later made the city side with Remy's son, Prince Kagetsu II, against the Yamatian occupation when Kagetsu II saved Lord Rhinehart and took back the city in the Great War.

Godslayer Era

During the Proninist invasion of Maar Sul in 1016 AE, Prince Leon Alcibiates sent Sen Wisteria and Maar Sul's Western Army from Caer Goddard to Remonton to negotiate a deal with Remon and hopefully form a new Grand Alliance with his old Remonian comrades once again. The army of Caer Goddard, supplied by Lord Rhinehart himself, was crucial in helping rebuild Remonton after the Second Battle of Remonton which had devastatated the capital of Remon.

Caer Goddard has remained loyal to the House of Aurelac, fighting off any Proninists who have tried to invade it during the following months in the Second Great War.
