Bagoas was born as the son of a Kemite courtesan in Ciano and was expected to follow in his mother's footsteps. He was groomed at an early age to entertain wealthy clients with his body and wit, and he became quite skilled in that area while displaying feminine beauty in his groomed looks.
A Cry in the Dark
- "It's funny to think that yet another year has passed. Ciano has missed your tribe's yearly visit. The Goddess of Love will have a lot of things to celebrate for today. It'll be such a glorious day, I can see that now."
- —Bagoas to Irvin Finian
Irvin arrived with Sinlarine shaman apprentices to Ciano for the yearly visit, and he came to see Bagoas once the shamans had settled in. He and Bagoas shared a tender moment which came to an end when Gilgamesh, a golden-armored warrior, appeared from the shadows and kidnapped Irvin. The warrior forced Irvin to obey or he'd gut the courtesan then and there, and Irvin eventually led him into the Void with him, leaving the confused and frightened Bagoas behind in the inn room.
