Ayna Silverbranch was the last blood relative of the Silverbranch Brothers and lived in the Third Age. Before her death, she managed to resurrect Leon Alcibiates and instructed him to search for the bearer of the Silver Branch.

BiographyEdit

Early YearsEdit

Ayna Silverbranch was a descendant of the Silverbranch Brothers. She became aware of the Cursed Earth in Yamato and knew that the Silver Branch could cure it, but lacked the power to use it herself, because she was very, very old.

Distreyd EraEdit

As the famous Andain bard Leon Alcibiates had been something of a legend amongst the Silverbranch Clan whom he had befriended in the Second Age before his death at the hands of Arawn Losstarot, Ayna decided to resurrect him as a revenant and entrust him with the task of finding a suitable wielder for the Silver Branch.

What Ayna had not considered was that after the Explosion which had ended the Second Age, the powers of the Andain had been dispersed throughout the mortals of the world, and hence dragging an Andain like Leon back from the dead created a rift between the lands of the living and the dead. While the resulting rift allowed the Silverbranch Brothers to return and take over host bodies of their descendants in order to aid the Grand Alliance during the Great War, it also allowed sundry devils access to the world as well, including Jemuel and the Faerfolc.

DeathEdit

Ayna died soon after Leon's resurrection due to both her age and the stress on her heart which had been caused by the spell which she had used to resurrect Leon as a revenant. However, she had prepared everything Leon would need in this new world beforehand: a boat, some money, food etc. so Leon could begin his quest.

LegacyEdit

Leon named his daughter after Ayna to honour her memory.
