Andresser, formally the Barony of Andresser, was a human nation located at the foot of the northern tip of the Ranger's Despair mountains on the Northern Continent in the Fourth Age. Due to being on a no man's land between the kingdoms of Caiarth, Valencia, and Zion, the barony did not directly border any of these kingdoms. It was ruled by Baron Alton Andresser and Baroness Alaine Andresser who used Profane Watch and other small settlements and towers they had established to keep watch on the goings-on in the region with their small but dedicated military. Upon witnessing the advancement of the enigmatic Red Legion in 20 AC and the threat they posed to their outnumbered people, Alaine made the decision to burn the towers and settlements to the ground and flee from the enemy army, choosing to seek sanctuary with the remainder of Andresser troops in Valencia.
