The Alent Gang War was a conflict between the Union Workers and the Order of the Black Rose which spread from Alent throughout Libaterra in 11 AOE. It began when assassins claiming to have been sent by the Order killed various Union master thieves in Alent because of the Union siding with Alent instead of staying neutral. The Union responded with violence and did its best to cripple the Order in Libaterra in any way it could. Both sides suffered heavy casualties and have only recently become aware that there might be more behind this conflict than meets the eye.
Background
Part of the reasoning for the Union's immediately hostile response was because for generations there had been on/off skirmishes with the Order, and while it was accepted at simply another part of business, the deaths of the Union's master thieves was seen as a broken trust. Only by the unordered communications of Master Thief Raul Emmenson and his orders did the Union broker an uneasy peace again.
Battle
Aftermath
The subordinates of Raul Emmenson and his allies are keeping the rest of the Union in check and sorting out any remaining fury on the Union side. These same people are also working with the Order as much as they can, to try and track down the suspected third faction together. A certain faction of the Union's Cells is hoping this will cement further good relations.
